GLENEAGLES HOSPITAL JOHOR PROVIDES ACCESS TO BETTER HEALTHCARE FACILITY IN HOSPITAL SULTANAH NORA ISMAIL, BATU PAHAT.

19TH MARCH 2024, ISKANDAR PUTERI: Committed to empower the healthcare industry in Johor, Gleneagles Hospital Johor (GHJ) is honoured to announce the contribution of a Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) Scan Machine to a district hospital, Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail (HSNI), Batu Pahat making them the first district hospital to obtain this machine among government hospitals in Johor.

Aside from aiming to provide the best healthcare facility in Johor with our CBCT Scan Machine, we are also concerned about our public hospital facilities, ensuring district hospitals are equipped with precise and detailed diagnostic imaging equipment, which will lead to improved patient care, treatment outcomes and reduce in waiting time. By giving this CBCT scan machine to HSNI, we hope to see a reduce in turn around time and travel duration which aligns with our goal to reduce public health burden.

This effort exemplifies GHJ’s commitment to build strong alliances with public health centers, fostering a collaborative approach to address healthcare challenges and improve access to advanced medical services. Through this public-private partnership, GHJ aims to showcase the effectiveness of working together in addressing healthcare needs, setting a precedent in mapping better accessibility to quality healthcare in Johor and the country.

Dr. Kamal Amzan, CEO of Gleneagles Hospital Johor and the Regional CEO for Southern and Eastern of IHH MY says “It is one of GHJ’s primary objectives to support and reduce the public health burden while advocating for healthcare accessibility through empowering public hospitals. In GHJ, we believe that HSNI could utilize and continuously provide the benefit to public in getting more detailed diagnoses and treatment for their health concerns.”

As the first private hospital in the region to lead this effort, Gleneagles Hospital Johor calls for more private hospitals and other institutions to be in this effort together to help our public hospitals to have access to facilities that are far from reach to them. We believe that any contributions to government hospitals underscores GHJ's belief in the importance of collaboration between private and public healthcare sectors to ensure state-of-the-art medical technologies are accessible to the community.
