Dr. P. Srinivas

Dr. P. Srinivas specialises in the care of elderly patients with multiple problems including Alzheimer’s disease. His special interests include the care of patients with respiratory problems especially chest infections, asthma and chronic obstructive airway disease.

Dr. P. Srinivas had his basic education in Penang and in Klang. He then pursued his medical studies at Kasturba Medical College, University of Mysore, India. Upon his return to Malaysia in 1978, he served in various government hospitals in Melaka and Kelantan before leaving in 1987 for post-graduate training in Ireland. He worked as a Registrar in General and Geriatric Medicine in Dublin, Galway, Tullamore and Waterford before returning to Malaysia in 1990. He then worked as a Lecturer and later as Associate Professor of Medicine at the Department of Medicine, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. He specialised in Chest and Geriatric Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Universiti Malaya where he was actively involved in clinical work, teaching medical students and research.

Dr. P. Srinivas is married with two children and enjoys reading, listening to music, and playing table tennis.
