Mr. Parameshwaran had his medical education at University of Malaya. After graduation, he worked as a Medical Officer in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery for 8 years. In 1990, he returned to University of Malaya to continue his postgraduate education in Orthopaedic Surgery.
In 1993, Mr. Parameshwaran obtained his Masters Degree in Orthopaedic Surgery. He was then posted as the State Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Malacca General Hospital. In 1998, he went for his one-year fellowship attachment in spinal surgery at Edinburgh, Scotland. Upon returning, he started his private practice at Gleneagles Penang as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon (with special interest in spinal surgery). He is the first spinal surgeon in private practice in Penang. For over 20 years, he has been doing a wide scope of spinal surgeries of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Besides spine surgery, he also does arthroplasty of hip and knee, and trauma surgery with special interest in pelvic fractures and fixation.
Mr. Parameshwaran is married with two children. In his spare time, he is involved in social and welfare activities.
