Dr. Khamini obtained her MBBS degree from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India and pursued her interest in paediatrics, having attained her Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, United Kingdom.
Having served for many years in the Paediatric Departments of Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim, Sungai Petani and Penang General Hospital, Dr. Khamini has vast experience in treating diverse paediatric conditions involving premature babies, neonates and adolescents.
Dr. Khamini is a certified instructor for Neonatal Resuscitation Programme (NRP) and a provider for Advanced Paediatrics Life Support (APLS). Her services were recognised and she was twice awarded the ‘Excellence Service Award’ by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia, in 2013 and in 2017.
Dr. Khamini has been actively involved in teaching and training both undergraduates and postgraduates in Paediatrics. She is also a life member of both the Malaysian Paediatrics Association and the Malaysian Medical Association.
Dr. Khamini likes to unwind by listening to music, reading and spending quality time with family.
