Dr. Lee Wei Ching

Dr. Lee has vast experience in the non-surgical aspect of managing cancer patients in the field of radiotherapy and chemotherapy for various tumour sites in the human body. 

Radiotherapy

Dr. Lee graduated with M.B.B.S. in 2000 from The University of The West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago and subsequently underwent housemanship training at Seberang Jaya Hospital. After housemanship, she continued to serve as medical officer in the same hospital for 3 years, mainly in medical and general surgery departments before being transferred to Bukit Mertajam Hospital. Besides working as a surgical medical officer, she was also in charge of the palliative care unit in the hospital.

Dr. Lee started her formal training in clinical oncology in 2007. In the course of her training, she has worked in University Malaya Medical Centre, University Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre and Hospital Kuala Lumpur. She was awarded Master’s in Clinical Oncology by University Malaya in 2011, gazetted as Consultant Oncologist and Radiotherapist in December 2011 and formally registered in National Specialist Register in Clinical Oncology in 2014.

Dr. Lee worked as a Consultant Oncologist and Radiotherapist at Hospital Pulau Pinang since 2012, before joining Gleneagles Penang. She also serves as a Honorary Lecturer for School of Pharmacy, University Sains Malaysia and as a Visiting Oncologist at various hospitals of Ministry of Health in the Northern Region. She has major contribution in oncology services in the Northern Region of Malaysia
