Dr Mafeitzeral Mamat is an enthusiastic and passionate anaesthetist with an easy going personality that becomes his trademark amongst his patients. His passion is in ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia and has been a regular speaker and trainer in the local scene. Dr Mafeitzeral was in KPJ Rawang Specialist Hospital in from 2015 to 2016. Before that, he served the Faculty of Medicine UiTM since 2005. His last post was the head of Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia & Perfusion Unit in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Centre (CTC), Sungai Buloh, Selangor. He was given the task then to set up the Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia & Perfusion services in UiTM which kicked off in May 2013.
While working in Royal Perth Hospital from 2011-2013, he obtained the Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Ultrasound from the University of Melbourne. The course syllabus was focused on Transoesophageal echocardiography which is essential in cardiac related procedures. During this period as well, he completed the Fellowship in Regional Anaesthesia and Fellowship in Simulation.He is a qualified Instructor for the Advanced Life Support 2 of the Australian Resuscitation Council.
