Congenital limb problems in children
Dr. Vasanthie graduated from Ramaiah Medical College, India in 1997. She obtained her Master’s degree in Orthopaedic Surgery from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2006. She joined and trained for Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship in 2009. She currently works as a Senior Lecturer at Penang Medical College since 2011 and she is appointed as the Vice Dean of Student Affairs.
Dr. Vasanthie practises her consultation and surgeries at Hospital Pulau Pinang and at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Klang. She then joined Gleneagles Penang in 2013 as a Visiting Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interests in paediatric orthopaedics.
Dr. Vasanthie is actively involved in community and social service especially for needy patients by liaising with various NGOs. She is also the Visiting Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Penang Spastic Centre. She has published a few papers and initiates poster presentations as well as publications for postgraduate students.
Dr. Vasanthie is married with a daughter. She enjoys cooking, reading and gardening.
