Dr. Lim graduated from The University of Melbourne, Australia, in 1997 with honours. She subsequently obtained the MRCP (UK) in 2002 and joined the Malaysian Ministry of Health Fellowship Training in Endocrinology in 2003. She was gazetted as an Endocrinologist by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia in 2006. She worked as an Endocrine Fellow at National University Hospital, Singapore in 2006. She has been a sessional Consultant Endocrinologist and Physician at Gleneagles Penang since 2007.
Dr. Lim is actively involved in many international trials on new diabetic drugs. She has initiated and conducted many investigators initiated studies too. She publishes and presents locally as well as internationally. She is also an honorary senior lecturer of RCSI and UCD Malaysia Campus and the trainer for the Malaysia Ministry of Health Endocrine Fellowship Program. She loves to teach, especially junior doctors, paramedics and patients. She is involved in establishing the diabetes educators’ programme in Malaysia as she believes that education is the corner-stone to successful management of patients with diabetes.
Dr. Lim is born and bred in Penang. She enjoys sports and travelling.
