Medical Records Assistant

Responsibilities
  • To perform medical records activities of the Medical Records Department and ensure patient confidentiality is maintained strictly at all times. The patient’s records are managed in accordance with the laws and regulation determined by Private Healthcare & Facilities Act, 2006.
  • To deal with all healthcare providers in retrieving of patient medical records registered in the Hospital Information System.
  • To perform audit on the completeness of clinical medical records in documentation
  • To liaise with nursing team and medical staffs for any incomplete documentation in clinical notes.
  • To maintain the security control on the movement of patient’s medical records by logging/ scanning into the Hospital Information System
  • To undertake any other duties, responsibilities and assignments that may be delegated from time to time in efficient and responsible manner.
Requirements
  • SPM or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year working experience in managing medical records from any established medical organisation.
  • Honest with pleasant personality.
  • Computer literate.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Basic knowledge on medical terminology.
