Financial Controller/Senior Finance Manager
- Responsible for full sets of accounts, provide monthly financial and accounting reports, cash management and other management in a timely manner as required by law as well as corporate office to facilitate decision making and operational management.
- Ensures the Hospital complies to all statutory requirements including audit, tax matters and any other corporate governance.
- Establish operational budgets and manage company cash flow to ensure the budgeted goals are achieved and cost objectives are met.
- Manage and review audited accounts and to ensure all audit findings are promptly settled.
- Manages and coordinates operational activities of Accounts, Credit Control, and business office and patients business.
- Supervises all ongoing financial and accounting operations within the company, as well as general management responsibilities including supervisory, accounting, budget and report preparation.
- Formulate recommendations for financial and operational improvement across the board.
- Identifying operational efficiencies / cost savings within the Hospital and integrating best practices in the financial, cost and management accounting system.
- The position breaks down to five major areas:
- Supervisory: Manages work of all accounts staff, including performance review, hiring and training, delegating daily assignments, troubleshooting unexpected problems, etc.
- Accounting: Constant evaluation and monitoring of all accounts and record-keeping.
- Budget preparation: Plans and prepares monthly budgetary reports for each department. Reports implications for each department. Reports implications for overall company budget as well.
- Report Preparation: Submit weekly, monthly & yearly reports as required and scheduled by Group Finance.
- Purchasing: Responsible for approving purchase requisition for purchases of the company.
- Any other duties as and when delegated by the Chief Executive Officer / Chief Operating Officer from time to time.
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or possess Professional Qualifications CIA, ACCA, CPA
- Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accounting
- Minimum 5 – 8 years’ of relevant experience in similar managerial position
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to lead
- Able to work independently and supervise staff
- Experience in hospitality / healthcare industry with substantial knowledge and hands-on experience in strategic accounting and finance planning and management skills
